Smoking harms nearly every organ of the body. Cigarette smoking causes 87 percent of lung cancer deaths. It is also responsible for many other cancers and health problems. These include lung disease, heart and blood vessel disease, stroke and cataracts.

Quitting smoking can reduce your risk of these problems. The earlier you quit, the greater the health benefit.

At Sedonia Mind & Body Therapy we offer a unique Holistic programme to help you to give up smoking. The programme incorporates  Hypnotherapy along with techniques from Stress Management , Reflexology and Aromatherapy. The programme is designed to give you as much help and support as possible whilst you are making the transition to a Non Smoker.

Hypnotherapy does not work at achieving the strength to resist.  It is designed to eliminate the desire.  Instead of giving up something that a person enjoys (a sacrifice), the individual's goal is to be rid of something that isn't wanted- a much more agreeable position psychologically.

You will be taught skills which you will be able to use after the session to help you deal with cravings and situations when in the past you would have smoked.

Whilst most people find that they give up smoking after only one session, you will continue to  benefit from the follow up sessions to reinforce your new learning as well as continue to add to the techniques and skills which you will find useful over the coming months to restore your fitness and health. These will usually take place weekly within the first month of giving up smoking.

You will be given a number of techniques to help you relax and deal with possible cravings or situations in which you have been used to smoking.
